The Addision Red Line is a train stop for the CTA in Chicago. The active music reflects all of the excitement of fans as they're drawn to historic Wrigley Field, the home the Chicago Cubs. You'll hear the energy of people passing by, going to restaurants or meeting with friends, all centered around the passion and fervor that baseball season brings, creating an exciting and unique atmosphere. I wanted to share this video of the Middlesex High School Band from New Jersey under the direction of Vincent Inciong. Vincent contacted me in April of 2020 saying that his band was about 80% done with learning The Addison Red Line when the schools were forced to close during the COVID-19 pandemic and was wondering if I had MIDI recording I could send him at a few different BPMs so that he could put together a virtual performance of the piece remotely with his students. I thought the idea was awesome and did what I could to help out. About a month later, he replied with the video below of his students recording their parts from home to give a fantastic and unique performance of the piece, which to me, shows the testament of how music can bring us together.
