Havasu Falls

Havasu Falls

Jeremy Bell

Havasu Falls is a beginning band piece commissioned by Ashley Stewart for the 7th and 8th Grade Concert Band at Central Intermediate School in Washington, IL. The piece is written for grade school band to serve as a developmental piece for young musicians. Havasu Falls makes use of syncopation to advance rhythmic skills in addition to making wide use of the ranges capable of the respective age bracket. It’s a very melodic piece driven by the rhythm and the changes in tone color brought

about in the orchestration.  Running at about 2 ½ minutes, Havasu Falls is a great piece for an intermediate level grade school band. Havasu Falls is published in Alfred’s Debut Series 2011 catalog and has been selected for J. W. Pepper’s Editor’s Choice list.

It can be purchased through either J. W. Pepper’s Website or Alfred Music Publishing.
