Grumpy Ogre March is a fun and punchy piece for young band, incorporating trills in the upper woodwinds, tiered dynamics, and lots of percussion throughout.  The combination of heavy-footed bass instruments and percussion with sharp and accented upper brass and woodwinds, creates a dark and spooky feeling that’s perfect for a Halloween concert.  This exciting work will definitely bring the idea of a gang of grumbling ogres marching through the mountains to life in the minds of your students and audience members.
